New Jersey Cottage Food Law

New Jersey does not yet have a Cottage Food Law which allows its citizens to operate a home-based bakery or food processing business. On February 22, 2011, Senator Bateman from District 16 introduced a bill that, if passed, will permit the sale of home-baked goods under certain conditions. Recently, a New Jersey Baker’s Bill was started on Facebook.com and an online petition was set up for supporters of this initiative.
