Years ago I had a European cookbook that featured the recipes from wonderful little bakeries across England, Austria, France, Italy, Switzerland, Holland etc. What I loved most about this cookbook, whose name I cannot remember, is that it featured miniature desserts. Small 4 and 5 inch cakes, tortes, bundts and flans. The cookies were delicate and semisweet perfect with a cup of coffee or tea and the cookie bars were made with dried fruits, nuts and spices.
